Logo and Postcard Thumbnails
The target audience would roughly be people around the ages of 20 to 40 years old. It would be beneficial to attract this age range as it would be vital for the portrait photography. Through this age range you could attract parents who want portraits done of their children or have family portraits done. Also, this could attract young adults who would want to do photoshoots with their friends, or for their senior year of high school or college.
Thus, this is why the decision to use more simplistic and modern approaches were made for the logo design. Also, it is beneficial to strain away from the typical logo designs that many photographers use and take a different approach. The minimalist designs are not too complex or busy to look at and they can be more memorable that way. These designs could be viewed as more attractive and could attract the target audience as well, especially since it is a new "trend" in younger people to like simplistic color schemes and designs.
Please make sure your outline is not written in the 1st person. Either the second thumbnail (first row, column two) or the third thumbnail (second row, first column) would be good for the postcard layout. They both have a photographic element to them which is showcasing your business in your logo project.
ReplyDeleteFor the logo, use Logo 3. This idea is good! It's not cliché with a camera and your name; you have worked your name with the camera as a more graphically reduced image. Looks better!
